Thyroxine Tablets available with the branding “2 CRINE-50” are an artificial version of the thyroid hormone that helps the body to supplement the natural hormones if the production of hormones is low in the thyroid gland. Its administration is mainly used in the management of hypothyroidism or deficiency in the secretion of thyroid hormones.
Thyroxine Tablets have thyroxine which is a synthetic thyroid hormone, which is almost similar to thyroxine produced in our body by the thyroid gland. They are used to supply the body with the missing thyroid hormone or to reduce the pressure on the thyroid gland. Hypothyroidism is a long-lasting, or chronic, condition that affects our thyroid gland, a butterfly-shaped gland in the neck that cannot produce sufficient thyroid hormone.
T3 and T4 are hormones that regulate the human body’s metabolism; T3 contains three iodine atoms while T4 contains four. An underactive thyroid means the metabolism in the body slows down, and the individual does not feel as energetic as before. Others are frequent fatigue, slow bowel movement, obesity, cold intolerance during warm weather, dry skin excessive or scanty menstrual periods (in women) or depression. Hypothyroidism requires treatment to bring back the normal bodily metabolism (basal metabolic rate).
